Holy Family Institute Tees Off for the 39th Annual Golf Classic
Signature fundraiser will support Nazareth Prep, HFI’s college-and-career-prep high school, as new CEO Michael Sexauer begins his tenure
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania [Tues., July 22, 2025] – Holy Family Institute (HFI) is proud to announce its 39th Annual Golf Classic, set for Monday, July 28th, 2025, at the championship Course at Nevillewood in Presto, PA. This signature fundraiser will once again support Nazareth Prep, HFI’s college‑ and career‑prep high school dedicated to empowering local youth.
About the event
Now in its 39th year—launched in 1986 to help rebuild HFI’s residential facilities after a fire—the Golf Classic has raised nearly $2 million to date for programs serving children and families. The day’s events kick off with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m., followed by a late lunch and awards reception at the Clubhouse. Participants can expect on‑course beverages, golfer gifts, and a chance to win exciting prizes. Former Pittsburgh Penguin and two-time Stanley Cup winner Pierre Larouche also returns this year as honorary chair.
Honoring long‑time leadership
This year marks a meaningful transition in HFI leadership. July 1, 2025, Michael Sexauer began his tenure as CEO, while Sister Linda Yankoski assumed the role of President Emerita and Director of Mission Integration.
Yankoski, who has led HFI with vision and heart, shares, “This Golf Classic represents more than a game—it’s a celebration of community, commitment, and hope. As I transition to my new role ensuring our mission continues to guide every decision, I’m deeply grateful for Mike’s leadership and excited for what lies ahead.”
“I’m honored to be continuing work in a new role with Holy Family Institute during such an impactful tradition. July’s Golf Classic exemplifies the dedication and energy of our sponsors, volunteers, and families. I look forward to building on Sister Linda’s remarkable legacy,” said Sexauer.
