Holy Family Institute proudly honors Coach Mike Tomlin for his extraordinary leadership and steadfast dedication to the Pittsburgh community. For nearly two decades, Coach Tomlin has represented far more than excellence on the sidelines—he has modeled integrity, discipline, and resilience, inspiring countless young people and families to believe their future can be stronger than their circumstances.

Throughout his tenure as Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Coach Tomlin demonstrated rare steadiness and strength of character. Pittsburgh came to know him as a leader who never wavered in his standards, never compromised his values, and never stopped believing in the people he served. His record speaks for itself, but his true legacy is measured by something greater: the example he set and the lives he influenced.

For Holy Family Institute, Coach Tomlin’s legacy is also deeply personal.

Year after year, Coach Tomlin supported Holy Family Institute’s Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. Courage House, standing with us as we honored individuals whose lives exemplify extraordinary perseverance and hope. His consistent presence and encouragement elevated Courage House beyond an annual event—transforming it into a meaningful moment of dignity, inspiration, and community solidarity. Coach Tomlin did not simply attend; he showed up with purpose, offering authentic support for our mission and for those who embody courage in the face of hardship.
